Being Dairy Intolerant:
Dribble Delights offer a unique and innovative range of Baby and Toddler food that is Dairy Free. Having a baby who is Dairy Intolerant is something parents have to constantly think about before every meal...........every snack........eating out at a restaurant........going to a children’s birthday party.....it’s never ending and can be very stressful. At Dribble Delights we aim to change that.
We want to take the stress out of mealtimes and put the fun back into exploring new and exciting tastes for little ones.
Some DRIBBLE facts:
There are roughly 750,000 babies born in the UK each year with around 2 to 3 % diagnosed as being Dairy Intolerant. That’s about 15,000 to 22,500 babies every year. Having a 'brand' of Dairy Free food that helps babies explore new foods and instil good attitudes towards food at such early ages is essential.
As consumer's we are becoming more aware of food, the food chain, food groups and ingredients and as a result our culture toward food is changing.
The DRIBBLE team:
Cheryl Ryder and Gillian McDonald are a sister team that have the strength and determination to make Dribble Delights a success. Our aim is always to keep the customer at the forefront of everything that we do. Living the life with 3 Dairy Intolerant children gives Cheryl the edge of truly understanding the customer needs. We are not a company built on capitalising on the problems of consumers, rather we are a company built on the strength and passion of actually living the life and issues that having Dairy Intolerant children bring to families.
Gillian is the brains behind all the yummy recipes of Dribble Delights, having had a passion for cooking since her early years while Cheryl concentrates on the marketing, promotions and direction of Dribble Delights.
So what are Dribble Delights?
Dribble Delights want to bring to market a range of Dairy Free main meals and a range of Dairy Free snacks. Through our market research we have identified the relevant food areas that are lacking in choice for consumers and wish to address this.
A range of main meals concentrating on major food groups, providing choice, nutritional value, ease of cooking are the basis of Dribble Delights main meals range and of course being Dairy Free.
Our Dribble Nibbles snacks range are aimed at the parties and treats markets. Our market research has identified the lack of toddler snacks that offer a yummy texture, taste, have an ease of use, availability in supermarkets, plus there is a general lack of awareness of products that are Dairy Free.
How we will use the money:
This is the amazing part of crowdfunding! We need the funding to finalise testing and get the first round of samples of all our foods ready and through manufacturing and production. We are needing the funds and your input to really make this all happen. We are also wanting to heavily involve you in giving us feedback on what you think about our products. You can have a real say in the development and final output of our products, after all we want to bring you and our children products that taste great, look yummy and are good for little delicate tummies!
How Your Funding Helps:
Phase 1: Equipment for dedicated Dairy Free food - £500
Phase 2: Testing and Development of Samples - £2000 (We're looking to work with developed academic research to validate all theory and marketing research, this means lab tests, ingredient development, nutritional value assessed, dairy free analysis testing etc)
Phase 3: Development of our website - £800
Phase 4: Manufacturing and Distribution avenues for 1st run of products - £2800
Phase 5: 1st run of Dribble Delights products - £1200 for ingredients
What we can offer in return:
To be honest any amount given will be embraced by the Dribble team and we thank you very much. We also understand that its equally nice to receive something other than our eternal gratitude, so we have made a few promises to you.
We offer a great big thank you and promotion on our website, we offer funky and unique Dribble Delights Canvas bags or a Dribble Delights apron for all the budding chefs out there. We also offer our Head Chef pledges a chance to name a limited edition of one of our Dribble Nibble snack products.
Oh...and we also offer samples of our delicious Dairy Free food (we know you may not want to sample the baby food but our range of Dribble Nibble snacks are yummy and delicious no matter how old you are).
The real thing:
We are a company born out of a frustration and lack of Dairy Free products for babies and children. Just imagine what it's like having to think about food all the time, not being able to go for an ice-cream on hot days or getting a quick piece of chocolate from a shop or going to your friends house but not knowing if your children can eat what they provide? We can all make a difference and make our products a reality. We need your funding and your input but you have a say in what are the final products that could be going onto supermarket shelves next year! :)
