Welcome, and thank you for visiting our crowdfunding page!  Our project aims to turn the derelict Linlithgow Victoria Hall into a thriving community asset: the Linlithgow Film Theatre.

In the fifteen months since we began as the Linlithgow Victoria Hall Trust, we have raised over £10,000 from local Linlithgow individuals and businesses, with which we have just completed an Options Appraisal/Feasibility Study.  Combined with extensive community consultation and the tireless work of our members, this has enabled us to confirm our greatest hope: the creation of the Linlithgow Film Theatre is achievable!

But we have a hurdle to clear. The site is for sale, and in order to continue negotiations with the family who has owned the derelict building for almost a decade, we urgently need an independent valuation by the local District Valuer.

In order to take this important next step, we need all the Friends we can get!  To help get us there, you can become a Friend of the Linlithgow Film Theatre by making a 'promise' via the Rewards panel to the right. Promises start at just £1, and there are lots of great incentives, including discounts on theatre tickets and an induction into the Linlithgow Film Theatre Hall of Fame!

By joining in and helping to make our vision a reality, you will enable us to:

- Cover the costs of an independent valuation by the local District Valuer

- Provide essential development funding to assist with the day-to-day administrative needs of the project, including further community engagement

- Kickstart the 'Design Phase', including the preparation of plans up to the requisite RIBA 'Stage 2' level

For too long has the Victoria Hall building sat crumbling and abandoned, occupying a significant part of Linlithgow’s otherwise vibrant High Street.  Together, we can transform this historic site into a thriving community asset that is open and accessible for all to enjoy, for decades to come!
