Stenhousemuir FC, the Scottish FA's Best Professional Club in the Community 2012/13, are taking the Under 13 Community Team to Amsterdam to participate in one of the biggest Easter football tournaments in Europe.

The Easter Open Cup takes place on Saturday 30 March and Sunday 1 April 2013 with over 500 teams from around the world expected to take part in over 12 different age groups for both boys and girls - last year, the tournament had just over 600 teams, which was played on 40 grass pitches at 12 private sports clubs!

As well as a fantastic experience playing against many different nationalities with their own footballing ethos, the players will also take in the culture and atmosphere of Amsterdam with a tour of Ajax's "Amsterdam ArenA" and the possibility of taking in a Eredivisie league match.

Our main aims are as a football Club are:

- to provide participation opportunities for all young people who want to play football within the community.

- develop talented young responsible individuals both in a football sense and a wider social context.

- to build a sense of community identity and affiliation amongst young people within the locality.

The final cost of the trip is £13,000 but after a few fundraising events and bag packings we are on our way to achieving our goal.

We have selected rewards that we are sure you will appreciate and value and we really hope that we can reach our target and make the trip to Amsterdam one all the players and coaches will remember for years to come.
